How not to make your students sleep in your math class?

Dear Teachers of mathematics,

Mathematics is a subject that most of the students of this earth find it harder and they think that it is very abstract and hard to learn. And with this generalised mindset, when the student enters the class, what do we do? We keep a serious face and start teaching the subject expecting the students to follow us with full attention and interest. Is it fair to expect that? You will surely find many of your students dozing. I had the same experience in the beginning of my career. But with time and experience, I realised something that the mathematics is the most interesting subject but if taught with a style that stimulates the interest in the learner. The history of mathematics is interesting to be touched whenever a topic is taught. You can tell stories that are interesting of mathematicians and how they arrive at their results. Instead of delivering the subject as a content delivery, if you teach it using interactive conversation style, it will surely make the class more interesting.

I will share my interesting experiences with the students in this blog. Hope it will help you all to make your class more interesting for your learners.
